Hello again to my third blog.
Since I posted my other blogs about the things you can do as a United States Army Soldier, I will continue on to yet another school you can attend as a Soldier.
In this blog, I am going to describe to you readers about the Army Air Assault School. This is similar to the Airborne School but instead you jump out of helicopters on a rope.
The Army Air Assault school is held at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. The basic concept of this school is to teach soldiers to repel down a rope from a helicopter that hovers above very high in the air. This school is another opportunity for soldiers to gain a badge. It is very rewarding to obtain a graduation diploma from this school just as much as the Airborne school.
It is also difficult to find a opening for this school due to the increasing number of demands to attend this school. So if you can find a slot and actually attend, you are in much luck.
Also, completing this school gives you a very good chance that you will be stationed with the 101st Airborne Division or Special Forces detachment because those two are the common units that are currently active at Ft. Campbell. It would be an honor to be a part of any of those units because it has a proud long history behind it.
You can be deployed overseas and use the skills learned at this school because the US Army uses many helicopters. Especially at the current Afghanistan war that is going on, you will see many helicopters to assault and execute clearing of villages to find enemies.
I believe this school will be rewarding to any soldier to complete this school just as much as completing Airborne school. If I was given the chance, I would definitely attend this school and I plan on trying to get a slot in this school as well. All in all, Air Assault is definately a school you might think of attending if you are a soldier and expand your career in the military.
